Cory Kondracki, life coach/cancer councellor

Hello, my name is Cory Kondracki. I’m a qualified life coach, cancer counsellor, and relaxation therapist.

Like many others in my field, therapy has been a second career for me, until recently when I decided to take that risk and go it alone. For the past eleven years I have worked in human resources in various roles looking after the health and wellbeing of all employees, from shop floor to management.

In my last role, I was a wellbeing advisor. I was responsible for absentees, sickness, maternity, and wellbeing.

I was always the person the staff came to talk to; if someone was absent or sick for a long period of time I would visit them regularly and find out why, and see if we could work out ways to assist them in returning to work.

What I found was that if you invest your time in people, and find out why they don’t want to come to work and talk about their situation – whether it be work-related or of a personal nature – it meant that the company cares about their employees.

Once the employees realised there was someone to go to that would listen and advise them, it made a huge difference. I was there to counsel, coach, and support them.

Throughout my life I have worked with a lot of people with cancer: those that are now cancer-free, and those that were unfortunately terminal and are no longer with us – my parents included.

I have been helping people for over 20 years. I always feel honoured to be a part of someone’s healing process, because it is so personal to the client, knowing they are confiding in me and sharing with me their deepest fears, concerns, and secrets, to watch them change and grow into their true self is truly a privilege.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your journey.
